Catarxis nació el 9 de marzo de 2020 como un podcast. Éramos un espacio chico con una pregunta grande: ¿qué pasa con el arte y la creatividad cuando nadie les está poniendo atención suficiente?
Cinco años después seguimos haciendo la misma pregunta, pero con más herramientas, más voces y más convicción.
Somos una revista editorial independiente especializada en arte, cultura y creatividad contemporánea. Lo que publicamos no es contenido — es periodismo cultural. Hay una diferencia: el contenido llena espacios, el periodismo los cuestiona.
Qué hacemos
Documentamos, analizamos y contextualizamos lo que está pasando en el mundo creativo — lo que ya es canon y lo que todavía no tiene nombre. Cubrimos movimientos artísticos, perfiles de creadores, fenómenos culturales y debates que importan. Lo hacemos con rigor editorial, con criterio propio y sin depender de ninguna marca, institución o agenda que no sea la nuestra.
Catarxis no es neutral. Tenemos una postura: creemos que la cultura es un territorio político, que el arte dice cosas que el periodismo convencional no puede, y que la divulgación intelectual no tiene por qué ser aburrida ni elitista.
Para quién escribimos
Para lectores que no necesitan que les expliquen todo desde cero, pero que agradecen que alguien les dé contexto, perspectiva y una lectura que no encontrarían en otro lado. Profesionales, creativos, estudiantes, curiosos con criterio. Personas que leen para pensar, no solo para informarse.
Cómo trabajamos
Cada publicación pasa por un proceso editorial. No publicamos por volumen ni por algoritmo. Publicamos cuando tenemos algo que decir.

About Catarxis
Catarxis was born on March 9, 2020, as a podcast. We were a small space with a big question: what happens to art and creativity when no one is paying close enough attention?
Five years later, we’re still asking the same question — with more tools, more voices, and more conviction.
We are an independent editorial magazine specialized in art, culture, and contemporary creativity. What we publish isn’t content — it’s cultural journalism. There’s a difference: content fills spaces, journalism questions them.
What We Do
We document, analyze, and contextualize what’s happening in the creative world — what’s already canon and what doesn’t have a name yet. We cover artistic movements, creator profiles, cultural phenomena, and debates that matter. We do it with editorial rigor, our own criteria, and without depending on any brand, institution, or agenda other than our own.
Catarxis is not neutral. We have a position: we believe culture is a political territory, that art says things conventional journalism cannot, and that intellectual journalism doesn’t have to be boring or elitist.
